Kvanndalen ligger ensomt og utrolig vakkert til på yttersiden av Hamarøy. Dalen er blitt Skutviks nye utfluktsted etter at idrettslaget satte opp Olebu, en utleiehytte for lagets medlemmer og andre interesserte. For å komme dit må en følge den gamle bygdestien til Utaker; og videre på sti opp og nordover til nedre ende av Kvanndalsvannet. Turen videre opp dalen er en flott dagstur, og er du ekstra sprek så anbefaler vi også turen opp til Salen før du tar turen ned til Skutvik igjen.
Kvanndalen is a remote and beautiful valley on the outskirts of the Hamarøy Peninsula. It has become Skutvik´s most frequented out-door resort, ever since the local sportsclub built “Olebu”, a nice cabin, overlooking Vestfjorden and Lofoten, for rent by the members of the sportsclub and other people.
To get there you must take the old road to Utaker, and then just follow the signs along the small walking-path up to the Kvanndalen lake, and “Olebu” at the lower end of the lake. The trip further up the Kvann-dalen valley is a nice day-trip, and if you are well fit you may even climb “Salen” before you return back to Skutvik.
